My name is Jenny. I’m a mother, a martial artist, an ex- amateur fighter, a writer, the wife of a prize fighter, and most importantly a fight fan. I fell in love with kickboxing, Muay Thai, and MMA years ago and have spent over a decade observing and filling various roles in the industry. From commentary to helping with local promotions, from matchmaking to managing high-level MMA gyms, I can safely say I have my finger on the pulse of the hurt business. It is a big part of the life I live, so much so that I am currently writing a book that encapsulates my experiences.Â
I’ve noticed disappointing trends in the industry as far as the media space goes and I decided to create a space where I can write what I think, feel, and observe on the state of affairs in combat sports. I want to do this with an emphasis on the humans and the culture of the sport. No regurgitation of UFC bylines and no patronization of the fighters and what they stand for. Just an intellectual and reasonable approach to fighting by someone who fully appreciates its beauty and ugliness all at the same time.Â
